An endowment to provide continued support to Glenmary, Theta Phi Alpha's original philanthropy, was announced in July 2018. As a tribute to Susan Kugler Check, Alpha Xi, and in accordance with her family's wishes, Theta Phi Alpha Foundation has named this fund in Sue's memory.

It is with great sadness that Theta Phi Alpha announces the passing of Susan Kugler Check, Alpha Xi, Director of Alumnae Relations. Sue passed away on Oct. 17 at University Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
Theta Phi Alpha has recently welcomed two new staff members to National Office to support our members. Kathryn Owsianiecki Hartmann, Gamma Iota, has officially transitioned into her position as the new Executive Director, and Barbara Gjerstad, Alpha Nu, has been hired in a new role as Technology Coordinator.

The Grand Council of Theta Phi Alpha recently voted to indefinitely suspend the charter of the Gamma Beta Chapter at Marian University in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. For the past several years, the chapter struggled to grow in size and operate at a level that best meets the Theta Phi Alpha member experience that our legacy dictates.
