National Office Personnel Change
Recently, our devoted Director of Collegiate Services, Liz D’Orsa, has announced her resignation with the Theta Phi Alpha National Office. We are excited for her new endeavors as she pursues her graduate degree at Stony Brook University. As an interim measure, Liz will be supporting the National Office on a part-time basis until her last day on August 1st. In the coming weeks, we will be sharing a job announcement as we begin our search for her replacement. We wish you all the best, Liz!

Interested in running for Grand Council or the Board of Trustees?
It’s not too late to add your name to the Official Slate for elections at Convention. Consent to Serve forms that are received between now and Convention will be reviewed for eligibility and if eligible, added to the Official Slate via a nomination during the opening business session at Convention. The Consent to Serve form and qualification for eligibility for The Grand Council and Board of Trustees can be found online at, http://bit.ly/1T8WOAB. If you have any questions, please contact Alicia Palmisano at [email protected].
Stop and Smell the Roses!
Help add some joy and fragrance to this year’s Convention home by sponsoring a white rose bouquet. Each bouquet will include a card with the name of the sponsoring Chapter or Alumnae Association. This could be a wonderful way to honor your delegate, the chapter(s) that you support, or other special sisters. Learn more about sponsoring a bouquet here, http://bit.ly/27SEK2d.
Marietta Colony Closure
Theta Phi Alpha was saddened to announce the closure of the Marietta College Colony in Marietta, Ohio on March 29th. Marietta College was colonized in February 2014 by a strong group of women representing the values of the Fraternity. During their time as a colony, members worked hard to make great philanthropic and social contributions to the Marietta campus and local community. However, due to sustainability challenges the Grand Council voted to close the colony. Any questions pertaining to the Marietta closure can be directed to the National Office at 440-899-9282.
ΘΦΑ National President is Blogging!
In an effort to move away from email attachments you’ll now be able to read our National President’s monthly news and notes in a mobile-friendly manner online. We will also be introducing guest bloggers to share even more stories from around our sisterhood. We hope you enjoy the new format! http://thetaphialphablog.blogspot.com/
Grand Council Send-Off
This year we have three incredibly devoted members of Grand Council who will be passing the baton to the next set of elected leaders at National Convention this summer. Jenn Kreiman has served our Fraternity on Grand Council for ten years! Laura Foley has served us for eight and Jenn Klug for six! We will be presenting Jenn, Laura and Jenn with personalized albums containing photos and notes from members. We’re looking for submissions so we can pack these albums with all sorts of memories from their early days on campus through their terms on Grand Council. Please submit your photos or notes by June 1, 2016 through the Convention webpage by clicking on Photo/note submissions for Grand Council gifts.
